About Me

You could say that this all sort of fell in my lap as i found a need to do something different with my life, and you’re probably right. I love my job, I love my wife, and I very pleased with where I am at in life at this point. Always striving for grander things, and always pushing towards the next goal is my constant action. I am not going to pretend to be something that I am not, although I hear that before you ever become, you must believe. Hypocrisy? I think not. More like vision and expectation. Believing in order to see.

I recently asked a friend why his alarm would go off as we car pooled to work each day. At first, he didn’t explain it to me. I asked again, and he proceeded to tell me that it was his daily reminder to strive towards his goals. He then told me of his morning ritual in which he would wake up, go about his business, until that alarm went off, at which point he would take out a tattered piece of scribbled paper that contained the dreams he had for his life, his family, and his future. Then, he would read them aloud, reassuring himself that these indeed were the things that he was living for – the purpose for his life.

You see, when you perceive things in multiple ways, you are more apt to act on them, even subconsciously. By reading and re-reading these dreams every day, he is able to ensure that his actions for that day will help bring those dreams closer to their expected reality.

You’re reading this, thinking, “This isn’t a typical about me page on some random blogger’s website,” and you would be correct. That’s because I am not here to just tell you all about everything that I know about (or would like to know about), I am here to help you through life’s journey. Whether that’s with a poem written by myself or another that has greatly effected me personally, or if it’s the answer to an ever elusive but oh-so-simple PHP error that I encounter, you’ll find it here. Expect to see a wide variety of content come across your RSS reader (you ARE subscribed, aren’t you?) from this blog.

I tried blogging before, many times actually, and couldn’t ever figure out if it should be about me, my life, my work, my hobbies, or my whatever else. But that there shows how flawed my thinking is. It’s not about me, it’s about you. If something has helped me, then I am pretty sure that it can help someone else.
